[Tutorial] How Forums Work?

Welcome to Gulf City! If you're new to forums, this guide will help you get started.

1. What is a forum?

A forum is a place for conversations. Each board covers a subject, such as GTA VI Discussions or Creators Hub. Inside a board, members start topics. Other members can read those topics and add replies.

2. Create your account

Click Sign up at the top of the website, enter your details and activate your account using the email sent to you. If you already have an account, click Log in instead of registering again.

3. Find the right board

Click Forums to see all the boards. Here are a few places to start:

- GTA VI Discussions: Talk about GTA VI.
- General Board: Chat about other subjects.
- Creators Hub: Share artwork, projects and creations.
- Creators Marketplace: Showcase FiveM resources or services in the relevant sub-board.
- General Support: Ask for help with a forum problem.

Open a board, then click a topic title to read the conversation.

4. Start a topic or reply

To begin a conversation, open the right board and click New Topic. Write a clear subject, add your message and preview it before posting.

To join an existing conversation, open the topic and click Reply. If you're answering a particular message, use Quote so people know what you're responding to.

5. Make your post easy to read

The editor lets you add formatting, links, smileys and attachments. You can also type @ followed by a member's name to mention them. Check the board's guidelines before posting.

6. Other useful places

Use Search to see whether your question has already been answered. Visit Home for news, recent posts, and the Shoutbox. The Shoutbox is for quick chat; use a topic for conversations people can find and return to later.

You can see "Home" at the main bar; that is the homepage where it covers the highlighted news and update topics, and all basic information about the forums, from updates to else. "Forums" is where the boards, topics, and conversations are held; it's the forum's heart. "Marketplace" is for FiveM scripts to be published by creators. Rules, Discord, and members are self-explanatory. "My Messages" is for checking your inbox to send or read messages; it is a private message system.
